Course #303 R-410A Safety & Training Certification
R-410A is the refrigerant many manufacturers are using to replace R-22. This 1-day class with a review and exam considers components, service tools, charging procedures, and safety involved when handling
R-410A. Students should be registered at least 2 weeks in advance of class to study the textbook which is provided upon receipt of tuition.

Hydronic Zone Valves
This is a hands-on class where the student will learn to install, wire (from the source to the valve), and replace the most common zone valves used in the field. Theory of operation, pros and cons of each type will also be covered.

Course #104 Annual tune-up and combustion efficiency testing
This class introduces students to the industry-accepted procedures and instruments involved in an oilheat system tune-up. Hands-on experience with live-fire units is included.

Course #101 Basic Oil Burner Installation & Service Technician
This 144-hour Course of Study using the NORA Oilheat Technician Manual is a comprehensive course proven to take the student from little or no knowledge of oilheat to a NORA Certified Technician. It includes all of the above oilheat classes including the exam. The first 6 enrolled students will receive a free textbook plus a 10% discount (20% for OHI members). This is on top of the $330 savings over the cost of the individual classes.

Course #101B NORA Gold Certification Exam
This is a 1-day review and exam for NORA Silver-certified oilheat technicians with a minimum of 120 hours of formal training and 5 years of field experience. Students should obtain the Advanced Oilheat Technician Manual from NORA at www.noraed.org and study it at least 2 weeks in advance of class.

This 5-day class covers residential A/C from A to Z. Students install, charge, start-up and diagnose a split system.

Course #302 EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
The federal government requires certification for anyone handling or purchasing refrigerant. This class covers the basic refrigeration cycle and a comprehensive review of the exam material in the study manual provided upon receipt of tuition. Students should study in advance of class.

Tuition: $195 (includes study manual & exam fee).
